10. Wild Lilies and Ferns
Free of human interference, the once abandoned garden has become the hotbed for native wild lilies and ferns. The natural mix of tall and short indigenous plant growth is a rare sight. Wild lilies start blooming in the spring and gradually wither as the season ends. When their seeds are ripe, the pods will burst open and seeds are scattered in all directions. The same cycle repeats itself the next year. As for ferns, they are visible in every damp, shady corner of the Pine Garden. The most common place to see them is in the drains.
